American company Waymo has declared that its self-driving taxis will be operational for hire on London's roads starting next year.

The UK capital will be established as the inaugural European city to launch an self-driving taxi service, akin to those already familiar in San Francisco and four other American cities employing Waymo's advanced systems.

Waymo announced that its vehicles are now heading to London and will commence driving on the capital's streets in the coming weeks with safety drivers in control.
